Second-grade students in Swift Elementary School teacher Katie Biel’s class finished up a unit on arctic animals Wednesday, Jan. 30 with a special event called the “Arctic Games.” Biel, with in-class support teachers Kate Frost and Tammy Medica, planned a number of activities including a snowball toss, penguin shuffle, penguin waddle, and the “Dress Like a Snowman Relay,” to name a few. Afterwards, students were treated to snowman cupcakes and hot chocolate.
