Members of the Jersey Shore Parrot Head Club of Atlantic and Cape May Counties will hold the club's annual Phall Phlocking 6-11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Seaville Fire Hall, 36 Route 50 in Seaville.
The festive island-style party will feature entertainment by trop-rock musician Mike Mallett 6:30-8:30, followed by DJ Eddie B, who will rock the house until closing with favorite tunes by Jimmy Buffett.
All attendees are invited to enter the second annual Chili Cook-off Challenge.
In the club’s tradition of “partying with a purpose,” all proceeds from the party will go to the Jennifer Ann Ward Memorial Fund (www.jenniferward.org), which provides student scholarships, places AEDs in public building and provides CPR training.
There will be a beef and beer buffet, door prizes, contests and giveaways. Admission is $20 at the door.
Children are welcome from 6-8 p.m. New members are invited to join the club for a reduced $10 membership fee during the event.
The Jersey Shore Parrot Head Club brings together people with similar interests in the music and lifestyle of Jimmy Buffet and organizes a number of charitable fundraisers, community service events and social gatherings throughout the year. The club has donated more than $65,000 to local charities since its founding in 2000.
