The Seafood Festival will feature food, entertainment and vendors 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8 and 9 at 30th Street and the beach in Avalon.

The Avalon Chamber of Commerce will present its annual Seafood Festival 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8 and 9 at 30th Street and the beach in Avalon.

The festival tent will house a variety of food vendors offering everything from crab cakes to hot dogs.

The street fair will feature vendors selling handcrafts, gifts and various items, as well as booths offering various business and financial services.

Live music will be provided by the Snake Brothers. Other entertainment will include the Joanne Regan Dancers, a strolling magician and more.

One of the highlights of the festival is the chowder contest 1-3 p.m. Sunday.

There will also be pumpkin and face painting and other activities for the kids both days.
