Somers Point Foundation for Education 27th Adopt-a-School Golf Tournament and BBQ Saturday Oct. 13 at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point. Knights of Columbus Council 9113 of Marmora Golf Outing Monday, Oct. 15 at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point. Cost is $125 and includes golf, cart, box lunch, barbecue dinner and two-hour open bar. Hole sponsorships are $100, $125 and $150. Dinner-only ticket is $30. Awards will be given. Registration is 10 a.m.; shotgun start 11 a.m. Prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive and most accurate drive. Cost is $100 and includes greens fee, cart and buffet. Meal ticket only is $25. Proceeds benefit Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, which works to find cures for childhood illnesses like those that affected Andrew Noten Hudson, who died Feb. 27, 2007.
