GALLOWAY – Pocket Full of Posies Florist & Gifts was named – what else – Best of the Bunch Wednesday, May 30 by Teleflora, the world’s leading flower wire delivery service.

The contest featuring Teleflora members’ wedding work – from bouquets to boutonnieres, centerpieces and more – was judged first by editors at The Knot, who narrowed down hundreds of submissions to 12 finalists, who were then voted on by brides from TheKnot.com.

“After seeing all the other entries from shops in New York, Los Angeles and all over the country, we were thrilled to have been selected as one of the top twelve finalists. We still can’t believe we won,” said Beth Ann Rabush-Perone who owns Pocket Full of Posies with her husband Bryan Perone.

“We do a lot of weddings and the winning photo is a fabulous example, illustrating our quality work,” Bryan Perone said. “Everything about that bouquet was perfect and we’re happy voters agreed.”

Pocket Full of Posies just celebrated its third anniversary in its location across from Historic Smithville on Moss Mill Road.

The shop provides high quality florals and an extensive gift shop featuring Vera Bradley. It also offers custom gifts baskets for any occasion.

Pocket Full of Posies won a variety of prizes totaling $3,000, including a free membership in Teleflora’s bridal program with The Knot, which would give the florist a local profile on theknot.com. The shop has also won a feature in the well-known floral industry publication, Flowers&, as well as new signs for the shop.
