Animal Advocates meet

South Jersey Animal Advocates, affiliated with the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the South Jersey Shore, meets 11:30 a.m. on the fourth Sunday of each month at the Unitarian Universalist Center at 75 S. Pomona Road, the corner of Liebig Street in the Pomona section of Galloway. It is open to anyone interested in working to advance animal welfare. See

Mothers Club meetings

The Mothers Club of Absecon and Galloway Township meets 7 p.m. the third Monday of each month in the Historical Room of the Galloway Township Municipal Complex on Jimmie Leeds Road. The club is for women with children up to 5 years old to establish a network of friends, find playmates for their children and get involved in their communities. Township council meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month in the Municipal Complex on Jimmie Leeds Road.

LGBTQ support group

Interweave of South Jersey offers a support group for members, family and friends of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning community on the third Tuesday of each month 6:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the South Jersey Shore, 75 S. Pomona Road, Galloway. See

Atlantic Audubon Society meetings

The Atlantic Audubon Society meets the fourth Wednesday of each month except November and December 7 p.m. at the Galloway branch of the Atlantic County Library behind the Municipal Complex on Jimmie Leeds Road. Cub Scout Pack 76

Cub Scout Pack 76 meets 7 p.m. Thursdays at the Germania Firehouse. Cub Scouting is open to boys entering grades one to four. Call 609-965-9178.

Spinal Cord Network

The Spinal Cord Network holds events on the first Thursday of every month. Some meetings take place at Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation and some are at other venues. The meetings are 3-5 p.m. or 4-6 p.m. depending upon the location. Call Becky Magill at 609-748-5410.

Alzheimer’s Support Group

Parents Night Out

Every first Friday parents can drop off their children 4 and older at Kinetic Poetic Dance on the second floor of Tilton Wellness, 323 S. Church features open mic

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the South Jersey Shore hosts an open-mic night featuring live entertainment, free light refreshments and free Wi-Fi access 7-9 p.m. on the fourth Friday of each month at its center located at 75 S.
