Amanda Ross vying for state outstanding teen title

A Galloway girl is one of 17 competing for the title Miss New Jersey’s Outstanding Teen 2012 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 at Millville Senior High School in Millville.

Amanda Ross, 16, will perform a ballet variation during the talent portion of the contest.

Doors open 6:15 p.m.

The winner advances to compete for the title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen in August.

It is a scholarship pageant open to ages 13-17, but not a graduating senior.

Tickets are $35 and are available in advance by calling Joan Cooper at (856) 825-6937 or at the door.

The winner of this pageant will entertain at the Miss New Jersey Pageant in June at the Ocean City Music Pier.

Also appearing will be this year Miss New Jersey’s Outstanding Teen Natalie Ragazzo who placed in the top 10 in Miss America’s Outstanding Teen and was chosen People’s Choice; and Miss New Jersey 2011 Katharyn Nicolle.

The pageant is part of the Miss America program.
