Car hits utility pole, causes power outage

GALLOWAY – A single-vehicle accident around 3:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30 sent a 40-year-old township woman to the hospital, closed one roadway lane for three hours and caused a power outage.

Krista Nasatka was driving westbound on Route 30 near Avenue A when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a mailbox and then a utility pole.

Nasatka was taken to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center with a leg injury by the Galloway Township Ambulance Squad.

She was issued a summons for failure to wear a seat belt. There were no other occupants in her vehicle. Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call Patrolman William Schroer at (609) 652-3705.
