Purdy was to meet 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8 with Deputy Mayor Tony Coppola, Councilman Dennis Kleiner and Interim Acting Township Manager Arch Liston to decide the immediate fate of the Clerk’s Office.
Hodsdon’s last scheduled day of work was to have been Friday, Feb. 10.
After four months in the position, she is returning to her former job as human resources director in Wildwood.
Deputy Township Clerk Carol Hackney has been on leave.
Kleiner said the office would be fully capable of handling any public records requests next week.
“Township residents have nothing to worry about,” he said. “The office will be staffed and able to handle all routine requests.”
Purdy said
“We’ve got the clerk staying on a few days longer, covering us at least through Tuesday’s meeting,” Purdy said. “We’re looking at shared service opportunities for now. And we will be advertising for a new clerk.”
Hodsdon submitted her resignation Monday, Jan. 30 to Township Manager Stephen Bonanni, the day before his last day working for the township.

She has also filed tort claims against members of council,
