GALLOWAY – All proceeds from advance ticket sales for the ShopRite LPGA Classic will be given to participating charities, the tournament and its sponsor announced Tuesday, Feb. 14.

Since the LPGA started tracking charitable contributions in 1981, cumulative donations from the LPGA and its tournaments have totaled more than $200 million, with $24 million of that from the local event.

ShopRite and the tournament announced Tuesday that Ticket Drive for Charity partners will receive 100 percent of all advance-ticket purchases.

Each ticket buyer can choose a charity partner to receive the contribution on behalf of the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

There are 18 charity partners of the 2012 ShopRite LPGA Classic include the AtlantiCare Foundation, the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey Foundation and Community FoodBank of New Jersey Southern Branch.

“Due to the tremendous support of ShopRite and our other corporate partners, we are now in a position to offer this special opportunity to our charitable beneficiaries,” tournament executive director Tim Erensen said. “We hope this adds to the experience for our charity partners, especially those who have been such an integral part of the triumphant return of the ShopRite LPGA Classic.”

There are three ticket options: a good any-one-day grounds ticket for $15, a weekly grounds pass for $30 and a weekly clubhouse pass for $60.

The clubhouse pass allows access to Seaview Resort, which provides additional dining and hospitality options.
