Galloway Township Public Schools was honored at its Monday, Feb. 13 Board of Education meeting for its support of the National Guard and Reserves by Donna Clementoni, director of employer outreach for the New Jersey Committee Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.

The New Jersey Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve is a Department of Defense volunteer organization that provides free education, consultation, and if necessary, mediation for employers of Guard and Reserve employees. Its goal is to support New Jersey employers who share their employees with the Department of Defense to ensure national security.

School board President Ernest Huggard, a reserve officer himself, said the district appreciates the recognition.

“And we do support our employees who serve in the military,” he said. “They are paid. They get the time off that they need.”
