Bicyclists from Philadelphia, mostly in law enforcement, take advantage of Galloway hospitality in their last stop before Atlantic City.

The Tour de Shore bicycle ride from the Irish Pub in Philadelphia to the Irish Pub in Atlantic City made its last rest stop in Galloway around 10 a.m. Sunday, July 29.

Among the volunteers at the Municipal Complex were Councilman Jim Gorman and Democratic candidate for council, Jim McElwee, and his wife Kerry.

Some 1,600 riders were met by volunteers including Galloway EMTs to check out minor problems.

It was the 25 annual 65-mile bike trek from 20th and Walnut in Philadelphia to St. James Place and the Boardwalk in Atlantic City.

All proceeds benefit charities.

The Irish Pub Tour de Shore has raised awareness and support for various local children's charities. It has raised more $1,200,000 in 24 years.
