Victoria Hillesheim, a 2012 graduate of Absegami High School, is one of 17 students in the United States to be awarded a $5,000 scholarship by the Financial Services Roundtable.
She was presented with her award at TD Bank in Galloway Monday, July 27 by Vice President and Store Manager Linda Eattock, and Regional Vice President Jeff Dolan.
The Financial Services Roundtable Financial Literacy Scholarship honors high school seniors who successfully complete a financial literacy course, such as Absegami High School’s full-year business education class which Hillesheim completed in her junior year.
Students must exhibit academic success and respectable character.
Hillesheim will attend St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia as a business major, concentrating on finance and marketing.
This is the second year in a row that an Absegami student has won the Roundtable’s national $5,000 scholarship. In 2011, Absegami graduate Julio Rojas-Aguilar was selected as one of 10 scholarship applicants nationwide to receive the award.
The Financial Services Roundtable represents 100 of the largest integrated financial services companies providing banking, insurance, and investment products and services to the American consumer.
