Police Blotter information is supplied by local police departments and other law enforcement agencies. All persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

During the week Feb. 10-16 Galloway police answered 961 calls for service. Officers made 20 arrests, and issued 21 traffic summonses including three charges of driving while intoxicated. Officers responded to 21 motor vehicle accidents, 14 domestic complaints, 24 medical assists and 14 fire calls.

Thomas A. Osterman, 45, of Somers Point was arrested Feb. 12 by Officer Daniel Choe and charged with hindering apprehension.

Justin E. Hanna, 23, of Sewell was arrested Feb. 14 by K-9 Officer Scott Winneberger and charged with driving while intoxicated. 

Zachary G. Westpy, 23, of Moranville was arrested Feb. 14 by Officer William Kline and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Jesse Freeman, 43, of Pleasantville was arrested Feb. 16 by Officer John Mooney and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Frank Soto, 43, of Egg Harbor City was arrested Feb. 16 by Officer Daniel Choe and charged with hindering apprehension and possession of a hypodermic needle. 

Jose Aponte, 37, of Egg Harbor Township was arrested Feb. 16 by Officer Patrick Neal and charged with hindering apprehension. 

Asif Khan, 20, of Galloway was arrested Feb. 16 by K-9 Sgt. Mark D’Esposito and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams. 

Travis C. Wilson, 20, of Port Republic was arrested Feb. 16 by Officer Jacqueline Crocker and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. 

Burglary Report

Burglaries were reported Feb. 10 at a building on S. Frankfurt Avenue and Feb. 12 to a vehicle on Driftwood Court.
