New Jersey arts grants awarded

GALLOWAY – The New Jersey State Council on the Arts awarded more than $15.6 million in grant funding to nearly 800 arts organizations, projects and artists throughout the state Tuesday, July 23.

The awards were announced at the Arts Council’s 47th annual meeting at the Lafayette Yard Hotel & Conference Center in Trenton.

The Atlantic County grants were for the Atlantic City Ballet, Egg Harbor City, $15,687, general operating support; Atlantic County Office of Cultural Affairs, Mays Landing, $74,104, local arts program; Noyes Museum, Galloway, $10,000, staffing assistance initiative; Noyes Museum, Galloway, $53,803, general operating support, Richard Stockton College - Performing Arts Center, Galloway, $101,020, general program support; Richard Stockton College - School of Arts and Humanities, Galloway, $200,000, Co-sponsored project - State of the Arts.

Other grants were all for the South Jersey Cultural Alliance, Pleasantville: $4,023, co-sponsored project - artist career Development workshop/south; $12,289, co-sponsored project - arts and business initiative; $12,765, co-sponsored project - arts in healthcare; $35,732, general operating support; $45,000, co-sponsored project - technology Initiative; and $151,421, co-sponsored project – regional marketing and cultural tourism.
