GALLOWAY – AtlantiCare’s Healthy Schools, Healthy Children Program and the Stanley M. Grossman Pediatric Center will host the sixth annual Princess Tea Party 4:30 - 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26.

The event at the Carriage House in Galloway is open to the public.

A Very Fairy Princess Tea Party is targeted at children three to eight years old, though all children may attend. Participants will enjoy tea service and healthy activities, including sparkly crafts, cupcake decorating, face painting, and AtlantiCare’s Healthy Schools team reading stories from the “Very Fairy Princess” book series by actress Julie Andrews.

“A healthy kid means a healthy body and a healthy mind,” says Samantha Kiley, AtlantiCare’s director of community partnerships and engagement. “Encouraging kids to read beginning at an early age – and encouraging their parents to read with them – is essential to a child’s educational success. Moreover, reading doesn’t have to be a sedentary activity: at our annual tea party, participants come dressed as their favorite princesses and we make reading active and fun.”

Registration is required. Price is $45 per child and adult pair and $25 for each additional guest.
