GALLOWAY – More than 4,000 bags of heroin were seized from a home on East Ocean Avenue during a drug raid that occurred more than a month ago, according to information released today (Tuesday, April 1) by the Galloway Township Police Department.

Keegan V. Thomson, 29, of Galloway was arrested and charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute. Police say 4,897 bags of heroin with an approximate street value of $20,000 were seized in the Feb. 15 raid.

Thomson was also found to be in possession of a stolen .9 mm handgun out of Fayetteville, N.C., police said.  And Galloway detectives seized $24,652 in cash from Thomson’s residence, located the 700 block of East Ocean Avenue. Police believe the money is from drug sale proceeds.

Thomson was released pending his appearance in court after posting bail set at $100,000 full cash.

The arresting officer is Detective Ro Latoracca, assisted by Galloway detectives and patrol officers and the Atlantic County SWAT team.

The search warrant was executed with the Atlantic County emergency response team.
