Babysitter charged with endangering: toddler left in car Babysitter charged with endangering: toddler left in car GALLOWAY – Police arrested a township man Friday on drug and endangerment charges after he allegedly left a 3-year-old girl alone in a car for three hours. 

Troy Bowser, 26, was arrested after police responded to a report of a child left unattended in a vehicle in the 200 block of North Leipzig Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. May 9.

Police said they located Bowser and that he was incoherent and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. According to the girl's parents, Bowser was supposed to be babysitting the child but instead left her in the car for three hours.

The child was uninjured. She was turned over to family, who took her to a hospital for a medical evaluation.

Bowser was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and possession of heroin. He was lodged in the Atlantic County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. The New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services is assisting with the investigation.
