GALLOWAY – A two-car crash on Leipzig Avenue on May 29, left two injured.

A vehicle driven by Dawn Posner of Absecon was traveling south on Leipzig Avenue at 11:51 a.m. when she attempted to pass a car driven by Lonnie Mishoe Jr. of Galloway Twp as the driver was attempting to make a left turn onto Country Club Drive. The area of the incident is a no-passing zone. As Posner passed Mishoe’s vehicle it turned left into her vehicle causing it to spin out of control, go off the roadway and strike a tree, police said.

Pomona and Germania Fire Departments responded. Posner had to be extricated from her car. She was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, for moderate non-life threatening injuries. Mishoe complained of pain but denied medical treatment on scene.

Leipzig Avenue was shut down in both directions for 45 minutes while the scene was cleared and investigated. Posner was issued a summons for passing in a no passing zone.

The Galloway Township Ambulance Squad, ACRMC Medics, Pomona and Germania fire companies and the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department assisted.
