Mays Landing man charged with child endangerment

galloway-police GALLOWAY - A Mays Landing man was arrested and charged with endangerment and drug charges July 5 for allegedly driving his vehicle erratically with two young children inside, Det. Sgt. Donna Higbee said in a press release.

Paul Dessicino, 30, was arrested and charged with two counts of child endangerment/neglect, driving while intoxicated, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, namely heroin, and reckless driving.

At approximately 9:30a.m. on Saturday, police received a 911 call from citizens who were traveling west on Route 30 near the Garden State Parkway. The callers reported that they observed two children inside a vehicle that almost overturned.

Police located the vehicle with the assistance of a caller who provided the registration and continued to follow the vehicle. Dessicino was processed and lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail.

The Division of Children and Families was notified, and the children were turned over to the custody of their mother. 

Patrolman Brian Tennant and Officer Vincent Ceci were the arresting officers.
