Mara Justine Platt UPDATE- Mara Justine Platt made it to the finals with late results Wednesday night. She now competes against 11 other acts in the finals on America's Got Talent.

GALLOWAY - Mara Justine Platt, the Galloway preteen who wowed judges on NBC’s "America’s Got Talent" with three singing performances, was back on the stage for the semifinals Tuesday, Aug. 26 and did it again with her rendition of Kelly Clarkson’s song “Breakaway.”

Platt’s performance started as not one of her best, sounding less polished than her others, but she brought it home by the end with judge’s and fans applauding in what “AGT” judge Heidi Klum called, “a breakout performance”.

“AGT” judge Howie Mandel told Platt that she brought him to his feet. “You’re only 12-years-old and sing with power and passion of someone twice your age.”

Klum hinted that Platt will be moving on to the finals. “I see you spread your wings and fly right into the finals.”

At that comment, Platt became teary-eyed, and just as she did after all of her other performance, she humbly thanked everyone and said how fortunate she is for this experience.

The results will air Wednesday night, Aug. 27 at 9 p.m. on NBC.

The 12-year-old, who plans to attend Galloway Middle School in the fall, has remained positive and grounded throughout her experience. She attributes a lot of that to the support of her mother and four siblings.

She told The Current on Aug. 26, that the experience has been amazing.

“I've learned so much and am so grateful. I've learned to pick things up really fast and there's no time for mistakes,” Platt said.

With the summer spent on “AGT” Platt has not had too much time to prepare for school. She said she is not worried because being on the show has made the summer, “The best of my life”.

But Platt is also looking forward to starting school and beginning her routine back home with family.

“I can't wait to go back to school because there is so much support back home,” she said.

Through the episodes of “AGT” Platt’s performances have remained strong and consistent. When asked where such a voice came from, she said, “Mom always sang to me growing up and she always told me it's a gift that God has given me.”

She learned she “had something” when everyone started to tell her.

But no matter what great adventures lies ahead for this young girl with such a powerful voice she said, “I remember to always stay humble, to be grateful and never take for granted what God has given me.” To watch Platt’s performances go to www.nbc.com .
