Hamilton Township in Your Town, Edition of Feb. 20 Hamilton Township in Your Town, Edition of Feb. 20 Black History Month: The Quakers as Abolitionists

 The Mays Landing branch of the Atlantic County Library, 40 Farragut Ave., presents Black History Month: The Quakers as Abolitionists at 1:30p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21. Brian Temple, author of "Philadelphia Quakers and the Antislavery Movement," relates the actions and intent of the Quakers of Pennsylvania and their opposition to slavery. The event is open to all ages. Registration is requested. Call 609-625-2776, ext. 6304.

Pilates

The Mays Landing branch of the Atlantic County Library, 40 Farragut Ave., offers Pilates for adults and teens 9:30 a.m. Saturdays Feb. 21, March 7 and 21.

Egg Harbor City Common Council special meeting March 5

EGG HARBOR CITY – The Egg Harbor City Common Council will conduct a special meeting 7 p.m. March 5 at the Egg Harbor City Municipal Building, 500 London Ave.

The meeting was called to discuss the possibility of removing fluoride from city water.

Back row, from left: Genesis Sandoval, Lara Guerrini, Diandra Torres and Xiomy Garcia The Cedar Creek High School Dance Department is proud to announce their second annual Student Works Performance at 6 p.m. on Jan. 23 in the Cedar Creek High School Performing Arts Center; located at 1701 S. New York Ave. in Egg Harbor City.

The Student Works Showcase will feature dances choreographed solely by the students in the Cedar Creek Dance Department. All the dances in the concert illustrate the students’ originality, creativity, and artistry through movement.
