EHC School Board changes dates
The Egg Harbor City School Board has announced that it will change the date of its meeting that was scheduled for Wednesday, March 14. The meeting will instead be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 29 in the Egg Harbor City Community School cafetorium, 730 Havana Ave.
Additionally, the school board will hold a public hearing on the 2012-13 school budget at 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 28 also in the Community School cafetorium.
Weymouth spring seminar
The Weymouth Township Environmental and Shade Tree Commissions will hold their sixth annual spring seminar 9:15 a.m. Saturday, March 10. EHC Historical Society updating scrapbooks
Marjorie Gries-Garwood, historian for the Egg Harbor City Historical Society, is updating the Roundhouse Museum yearly scrapbooks. Special events should relate to those occurring between 2006 and 2011. This could include articles, pictures and handouts relating to sports event, graduations, organization sponsored, parades, class reunions and city sponsored events. The public’s help is appreciated. Golf outing to benefit epilepsy foundation
A golf outing, called "Tee Time to Save Time - No More Time Lost to Seizures," is 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31 at the Mays Landing Country Club. Registration is at noon. Tickets are $150 for individuals and $500 for a foursome and include a light lunch, a dinner, giveaways and awards. A raffle will also be held. Proceeds benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey. The Hamilton Township Committee approved its meeting dates for 2012 during its reorganization meeting held Jan. 4: Those meetings will be held on Mondays at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Building on 13th Street, Mays Landing, except where noted: Feb. 6 and Tuesday, Feb. 21; March 5 and 19, April 2 and 16, May 7 and May 21, June 4 and 18, July 9, Aug. 6 and 20, Sept. 4 and 17, Oct. 1 and Oct. 15, Nov. 12, Dec. 3, Dec. 17. The 2013 reorganization meeting is Jan. 3.

Weekly food bank sites
The First United Methodist Church at 6011 Main St. in Mays Landing is a local food bank site open 9 a.m.-11 a.m., 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. every Wednesday and offers an assortment of canned goods, bread, eggs, cheese, chicken and meat. Participants are eligible for the food on a monthly basis and the amount of food given is determined by family size. Identification is necessary in order to obtain the free food. The food bank at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 114 Route 50 in Mays Landing, is open 9-11 a.m., 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. every Thursday.
Rotary Club meets Tuesdays

Police seek Domestic Violence Response Team volunteers
The Hamilton Township Police Department is recruiting volunteers to work on its Domestic Violence Response Team. Members will work with the police to provide support, information and referrals to victims of domestic violence. Applicants must be at least 18, have access to transportation, be willing to submit to a background check and attend 60 hours of mandatory training.
