Millville pair arrested fleeing scene of reported burglary

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP – A man and a woman from Millville were arrested Saturday afternoon on Route 552 as they were allegedly making their getaway after a home burglary, police said.

Lisa Haiduk, 49, and Kyle Koelle, 20, were arrested without incident Jan. 7 after police responding to a report of a burglary in progress spotted them on Route 552, driving away from the scene.

A neighbor had reported seeing someone repeatedly carrying items out of an unoccupied house on 18th Avenue and placing them in a waiting car, according to police. The two were headed east on Route 552 when police spotted the car and pulled them over shortly before 5 p.m., police said.



The two confessed to the crime after a search of their vehicle turned up a computer, video games, clothing and other items taken from the home, police said.

Haiduk was charged with burglary, theft and unlawful possession of a weapon, according to Hamilton Township police. She was lodged in the Atlantic County jail pending $2,500 bail, or 10 percent.

Koelle was charged with burglary and theft. He was lodged in the Atlantic County jail in lieu of $2,500 bail or 10 percent.
