HAMILTON TOWNSHIP – Three people were transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Campus following a two-vehicle accident Saturday, April 14, according to the Hamilton Township Police Department.

Gail China, 57, and her passenger, Sarah Thomas, 35, both of Mays Landing along with Atlantic City resident Taissa Livingston, 35, were hospitalized, police said.

The accident occurred at 5:36 p.m. when a 2012 Mazda CX-7 driven by Livingston collided with a 2011 Toyota Corolla driven by China. The accident happened on the Black Horse Pike, west of Leipzig Avenue.

The collision propelled China’s car over the median and through a chain-link fence and a light standard, police said.

Traffic was reduced to one lane while the area was cleared.

The investigation continues into the accident’s cause.
