EGG HARBOR CITY – You’re in luck if you are one of those who just can’t wait until Dec. 25 to see lights wrapped around a Christmas tree and feel the kind of joy that only Santa Claus can bring.

The annual Egg Harbor City Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony, sponsored by the Greater Egg Harbor City Chamber of Commerce, will be 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. The event will be held in front of the Egg Harbor City branch of the Atlantic County library, Rose Mohr Learning Center, 134 Philadelphia Ave.

The event will include the city’s annual tree lighting ceremony, the dedication of “Bruce’s Lights” and other activities to provide fun or the whole family.

The Cedar Creek High School Choir and brass quintet will perform, and Miss Atlantic County Lindsey Giannini will make an appearance.

There will also be a guest appearance by Little Miss and Mr. Egg Harbor City and Miss EHC Latina.

Simply Sweet Cupcakes will provide some tasty offerings and pizza master Mario Cappelutti will again offer some of his hot chocolate.

Santa will break away from his busy pre-holiday schedule to visit with the city’s children.
