Egg Harbor Township man charged in weapons theft

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP – A 21-year-old Egg Harbor Township man was charged with theft after an investigation into stolen weapons in Hamilton Township’s Cologne section.

On Sunday, Dec. 30 the Hamilton Township police received a report of stolen rifles from a residence on Cologne Avenue. An investigation led to Eric M. Legg, 21, of Egg Harbor Township, who allegedly stole the rifles and attempted to sell one of them.

Legg was charged with burglary, theft and firearms offenses. He was lodged in the Gerard L. Gormley Justice Facility in Mays Landing in lieu of $15,000 bail.
