Pickup truck crashes into Mays Landing home

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP – A 23-year-old Mays Landing man was charged with driving while intoxicated in the early morning hours Friday, Jan. 5 after his Chevy Silverado pickup severed a utility pole and crashed into a house at 6038 Main St.

No one was injured in the 3:54 a.m. incident, and the home’s residents did not have to be displaced, according to police.

The driver of the vehicle, Mark Stebbins Jr., was charged with driving while intoxicated and issued summonses for several motor vehicle violations.

The roadway was blocked for approximately 90 minutes, and power was knocked out for a time following the crash.

The Mays Landing Fire Department assisted at the scene.
