HAMILTON TOWNSHIP - Two men died Sunday, March 3 from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash on County Route 559. The victims have been identified as Michael Love, 30, of Atlantic City, and Matthew A. Zaydel, 19, of Mays Landing.

At approximately 1:56 a.m. Officer Francis Smyth was on patrol in the area of milepost 16.5 when he observed an overturned vehicle along the woods line, police said. The two occupants had been ejected from the vehicle. 

One of the victims was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Division in Galloway where he was pronounced dead. The other was airlifted by Southstar helicopter to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division in Atlantic City where he was pronounced dead.

Township of Hamilton EMS, AtlantiCare paramedics and the Mays Landing Fire Company responded to the scene.

The cause of the crash is being investigated by township police and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
