BUENA VISTA - County and state police officials are investigating the death of the 23-year-old man whose body was discovered Saturday, Sept. 28 in a popular gravel pit.
The death of Andrew Taylor, 23, of Newtonville, will be investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, the New Jersey State Police and the New Jersey State Medical Examiner’s office, acting Atlantic County Prosecutor James P. McClain said.
Taylor’s body was discovered by family members in a gravel pit off of Pancoast Road. They told officials they had organized a search party for Taylor after he had gone missing earlier in the week.
The cause of death is pending autopsy results, McClain said.
No arrests have been made.
The information that police detectives gathered on Saturday indicate there is no imminent danger to local residents, he said.
