HAMILTON TOWNSHIP – The Smith Family Farm in Mays Landing will be the site for a fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 12 to benefit Patty Neugent, a 36-year-old Mays Landing woman who is afflicted with multiple sclerosis (MS). The event is sponsored by Lee’s MSketeers Foundation, a Hammonton-based organization that provides financial assistance to individuals coping with the day-to-day challenges of MS.
A long day is planned with a wide range of attractions.
The event, which will run from noon to midnight, will have live music all day, hayrides, carnival games and a Chinese auction. Among the bands scheduled to appear is local favorite Jezebell. The first half of the day will include many activities for children including a moon bounce and face painting. After 6 p.m., the event will turn into a more adult-focused one.
A Facebook page also provides more information and can be viewed at www.facebook.com/pattys.angels.37.
Neugent is thrilled that people are stepping forward to help her family.
“Our whole family is just amazed at the kindness and generosity the whole community has shown us during this difficult time in our lives,” she said. “We want to thank Smith Family Farms, and Lees MSketeers Foundation for all of their hard work arranging this benefit. Also, thank you to all of the vendors, and local businesses who made donations to help make this event a success. Please come out and join us for a fun day of games, music, and great food and fun.”
The Smith Family Farm is located at 6352 Pittsburgh Ave.
