Mullica fourth-grader dies in car accident

MULLICA TOWNSHIP _ A 10-year-old Mullica Township boy died as the result of a one-vehicle accident on Saturday, Dec. 21 in the Weekstown section of the township.

Jaiden Ohnemuller-Muskett, 10, was a back-seat passenger in a Chevy Sonic four-door automobile driven by his father, Philip Muskett, 28, of Mullica Township.

The Chevy Sonic crashed into a tree off of the northern end of Weekstown Road, also known as “dump road,” around 9:11 p.m., according to a release issued by the Mullica Township police.

Ohnemuller-Muskett was declared dead at the scene.

Phillip Muskett suffered moderate chest and leg injuries and was airlifted to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City for treatment, police said.

Ohnemuller-Muskett was a fourth-grader at the Mullica Township Elementary School which is closed for the winter holidays.

Mullica Township police are asking for eyewitnesses to describe what they saw of the accident which remains under investigation.
