HAMILTON TOWNSIP – Firefighters from Cardiff and Cologne are on the scene of an active structure fire involving at least two homes in the Fairways development near the Mays Lading Country Club.

According to eyewitness accounts on the scene from a Current reporter, the unit at 293 Pebble Beach Drive has completely burned, while the neighboring home at 291 has sustained damage.

Reports indicate that no one was home at the time of the fire, which was called in just before 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 29. But there are reports that pets have not been accounted for.

The Fairways is an active adult community. The one-story homes are situated about 20 feet apart from each other.

Cardiff has its Tower 15 truck deployed at the scene, while Cologne’s Tower 18 is also in use.

Tanker trucks have also been pressed into service to transport water to the scene.
