HAMILTON TOWNSHIP - The Township of Hamilton Police Department is attempting to locate David McAvaddy, 41, of Egg Harbor Township. McAvaddy is wanted for assault by auto, driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.

He was allegedly involved in a motor vehicle crash on April 25 on Route 40 near milepost 41.8. Police said McAvaddy struck Officer James Longo’s patrol vehicle while he was on routine patrol causing serious bodily injury to the officer.

McAvaddy is described as a white male, 5-foot, 11-inches, approximately 170 pounds with green eyes. The warrant has been issued by the Honorable Judge H. Robert Switzer.
