To the editor:
I found a letter from the Dec. 29 edition of The Current from Mr. Robert E. McNulty of
Under the formula proposed by Sen. Michael Doherty,
Why would Mr. McNulty attack personally a fine and honorable state senator who is a graduate of West Point and who has served admirably and honorably in the U.S. Army and who has lived an exemplary life since?
Sen. Doherty believes the funding of our schools is a legislative issue and not one determined by activist judges appointed by the corrupt and inept former Gov. Corzine, the so-called Wizard of Wall Street. I challenge Mr. McNulty to put his past up against Sen. Doherty's. Shouldn't Sen. Doherty's proposals be considered in that light, and not in the unfounded aspersions cast by Mr. McNulty? Talk about suspect timing.
We need more honorable, caring people like Sen. Doherty in government and fewer of the McNulty types whose ideas for our school children are anything but healthy, practical, and within our constitutional boundaries.
