The Thomas and Claire Brodesser, Jr. Cancer Center at Cape Regional Medical Center will host the 2012 Men’s Health Day Saturday, Sept. 15.
There will be free screenings for prostate cancer, colorectal cancer and testicular cancer from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the cancer center located on the ground floor of the medical center, located in Cape May Court House.
“Cancer screenings are an important preventative measure that should be taken in protecting our health,” said David Cho, M.D., a board-certified radiation oncologist and member of the cancer care team at Cape Regional Medical Center. “It is vitally important that men take the time to receive regular screenings.”
Dr. Cho will be on site for Men’s Health Day and will perform the screenings.
“This will mark the 12th year that we have been providing these screenings,” said Terri Netz, RN, ONC, director of radiation oncology. “We have found at least one diagnosis of prostate cancer each year, and we want to emphasis the importance of early detection.”
Registration is required and space is limited. Call (609) 463-2298 to make your appointment.
