NORTH CAPE MAY -- Victoria Manor, Genesis HealthCare Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, held a blood drive with the American Red Cross earlier this month.

Organizers say that the drive saw more than 20 donations, from both professionals as well as the community.

A single blood donation may help up to three people.

“There are also a health benefits to donating since you receive a “mini physical” when you donate. The mini physical includes pulse, blood pressure, body temperature and hemoglobin,” reads a release from organizers. “Whatever your reason, the need is constant and your contribution is important for a healthy and reliable blood supply.”
