Mom to Mom: Get together with other moms and share your experiences 1-2 p.m. every Monday in the Jenkins Room at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point. Free. New moms are encouraged to bring their babies. Valet parking is available.

Physician Referral Service provides information about physicians including insurances accepted, office locations and hours, and educational background. Operated 24 hours a day by Shore Memorial Hospital. Call 653-4600 or visit www.shoredoctors.com.

Smoking Cessation Clinic provided by Shore Memorial Hospital’s QuitCenter offers counseling with our certified tobacco treatment specialists and information on nicotine replacement therapies. For an information packet call 653-3440.

Contact Volunteers Wanted to staff the reassurance program that provides daily telephone calls to the elderly and disabled. The calls serve as a friendly hello and a check to make sure that all emergency needs are being met. To volunteer call Ann Magee at 463-4564.

The Buddy System self-help group for victims of domestic violence meets 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the First United Methodist Church in Cape May. Call 609-522-6489.

LA LECHE LEAGUE OF CAPE MAY — A breast-feeding support group, every second Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, Route 9, Cape May Court House, at 7 p.m. Any pregnant or nursing mother needing support or information is welcome. Call 609-861-5956 or 609-465-5567.

C.A.R.A. — A private, nonprofit agency serving victims of rape and domestic violence in the Cape May County area. Confidentiality is respected, all services are free. The 24-hour hotline number is 522-6489. Volunteers are needed. Female survivors of sexual assault support group and anger management counseling group for women meets weekly at St. Simeon’s Church.
