Ocean City First Night 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31 at the Ocean City Civic Center, Sixth Street and the boardwalk. Enjoy an extensive entertainment program concluding at midnight with fireworks. Borgata New Year's Eve Parties Monday, Dec. 31. The Gypsy Bar stage will feature The Benderz at 7 p.m. and Gypsy Wisdom at 11 p.m. Cover charge is $25 after 6 p.m. Mur.Mur will feature DJ Spider with Andreas Moe. Brigantine Polar Bear Plunge 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1 at the 14th Street South beach. An after party will follow at Laguna Grill and Rum Bar, 14th Street South and Ocean Avenue, with special food and drink prices. The master of ceremonies will be Jim Craine, Atlantic City’s singing lifeguard. Live music will be provided by the Mott’s Creek Pickers. There will also be a costume contest with prizes. Runaway A.C. First Run/Walk 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1 on the Ocean City boardwalk. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. in front of the Ocean City Music Pier where the race will start and finish. All preregistered runners will receive a shirt; others will be handed out as supplies last on race day. Refreshments will be available. Entry fee is $18 if registered by Dec. 28; $20 race day registration for 5K and walk. Walkers pay $20 if they want a shirt, $10 without.
