LINWOOD – There she is, Miss America.
Eight absolutely lovely ladies vying for the title of Miss America 2013 made a pilgrimage to where it all began Friday morning.
Valarie Clemens, Miss Maine 1980, brought the contestants to Schoppy’s on Shore Road in Linwood for a visit and a peek into the pageant’s past. Schoppy’s supplied the crown worn by Miss America for decades.
Miss Rhode Island- Kelsey Fourmier, Miss Maine- Molly Bouchard, Miss Kansas- Sloane Lewis, Miss New Hampshire-Megan Lyman, Miss South Carolina- Ali Rogers, Miss Missouri-Tippe Emmot, Miss Massachusetts-Taylor Kinzler and Miss District of Columbia- Allyn Rose met with Schoppy’s general manager David Talarico and talked about the connection of Miss America past and present.
