Armed Robbery at Fuji Restaurant

LINWOOD—The police were alerted to an armed robbery at 4:23 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1 at the Fuji Sushi and Steakhouse in the Linwood Greene Shopping Plaza on New Road near Central Avenue.
Linwood Police Lt. Colin Hickey said employees said a clean shaven male with dark hair walked into the restaurant and immediately pulled a dark colored hand gun and demanded money. He is about 6’2”-6’3” with a skinny build wearing black pants and a black jacket. He covered his face with a white bandana that had black circles on it.
Officers quickly established a perimeter of the area and a K-9 search was conducted with no suspect found. Somers Point Police Department assisted in the search with two K9 units and officers from the Northfield and Somers Point Police Departments assisted the Linwood Police Dept in the search effort.
The investigation is still ongoing and anyone who might have information or who may have seen something or heard something or is urged to contact Linwood Det. Sgt. John Hamilton at (609) 926-7698.
