D’Adamo wins in Somers Point

SOMERS POINT Â- Democrat Carl D’Adamo won over Republican Ralph Triboletti for the Somers Point Council at large seat by a margin of 331, 2,143 to 1,812, according to unofficial results.
In Ward 1, Republican Thomas G. Smith had 1,335 votes with 9 write-ins for an uncontested seat. Likewise in Ward 2 the seat was uncontested and Republican Howard Dill tallied 1,277 votes.
The race for the Somers Point Board of Education was a tighter race with Karen Broomall, 1,559 votes; Albert W. Becker Jr., 1,279 votes; and Nicholas Wagner, 1,085 votes, defeating Robert J. McConville, 826 votes, and Wesley Kazmarck with 885 votes. There were 22 write-in ballots.
The Somers Point seats on the Mainland Regional High School Board of Education go to Leanne R. Gray with 1,767 votes and Charles Broomall, Jr. with 1,669 votes.
