Two Somers Point juveniles, ages 14 and 16 were arrested by Det. Jim Norris November, 30 after viewing surveillance video recorded at Mainland Regional High School where he observed one juvenile sell another a controlled dangerous substance in the hallway. The 16 year old female was charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance on school property, possession of a controlled dangerous substance packaged for distribution and possession of drug paraphernalia. The 14 year-old male was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance after making the purchase. Both were arrested and released to the custody of their guardians with court pending.
Deborah Wallace, 53, of Linwood was arrested by Det. Jim Norris Dec. 4 and charged with obtaining prescriptions by fraud by using different names to obtain narcotics. Wallace was released pending court.
A 17 year old from Somers Point was arrested Dec. 4 and charged with making terroristic threats. The youth was taken to a psychiatric facility and juvenile court is pending.
