Miss America Trivia
There she is, Miss America but many state title holders are Greek as well. Miss America 2014 just might be on your family tree. Of the 53 Miss America contestants vying for the 2014 title, 21 are members of a sorority at their respective colleges and universities. The largest group (5) are members of Delta Delta Delta sorority; Miss Arkansas Amy Crain (Univ. of Ark.), Miss California, Crystal Lee, (Stanford), Miss Florida, Myrrhands Jones (Univ. of Fla.), Miss Georgia, Carly Mathis, (Univ. of Ga.) and Miss Wyoming, Rebecca Podio.

Zeta Tau Alpha has Miss Alabama, Chandler Champion, (Univ. of Ala.) and Miss Idaho, Sarah Downs, (Univ. of Pa.) Delta Gamma has Miss Illinois, Brittany Smith from Purdue and Alpha Chi Omega is well represented by Miss Indiana, Terrin Thompson (Indiana Univ.) Alpha Delta Pi has Miss Kentucky, Jenna Day, (Univ. of Ky.) and Miss Tennessee, Shelby Thompson, (Univ. of Tn.)
Alpha Xi Delta has Miss Minnesota, Rebecca Yeh, (Ohio Northern Univ.) and Chi Omega has Miss Mississippi, Chelsea Rich, (Millsap College) and Miss South Carolina, Brooke Mosteller, (Furman Univ.)
There are three Kappa Alpha Theta’s in the pageant; Miss Missouri, Shelby Ringdahl, (TCU), Miss New Jersey, Cara McCollum (Princeton) and Miss North Dakota, Laura Harmon, (Univ. of ND). Gamma Phi Beta is represented by Miss Montana Sheridan Pope (Moorhead) and Miss Oklahoma, Kelsey Griswold, (Oklahoma City Univ.)
Alpha Epsilon Phi has Miss New Hampshire, Samantha Russo (Emerson). Delta Zeta has Miss Ohio, Heather Wells (Youngstown State) and Miss South Dakota is a member of Alpha Phi (Univ. of SD).
Miss America 2013, Mallory Hagan is a member of Pi Beta Phi at Auburn University.
