“We like to really kick of prom season with a fun event,” said Shelly DeLuca of Margate, the owner of Rissy Roo. “For us, prom season is January to June. Prom is a fun time and so we invite the girls to come and bring their friends, their moms or dads and see what is new, see what they like and get ready for their big event.”

It was certainly a fun atmosphere Friday, Jan. 31 as Rissy Roo’s threw their big kick off event for prom season. The girls attending came from all across the tri-county area looking for the perfect gown for them. Short, long, fitted, flowing with sequins, beads or plain; there was something that fit every taste and style.

One of the first proms of 2014 is Cedar Creek High School; their prom is April 26. One of the last of the season is Mainland Regional High School, set for June 6. The winner of the prom gown raffle is Gabrielle Sear of Egg Harbor City who attends Cedar Creek High School. Rissy Roo has a raffle for another prom gown giveaway for Valentines Day at their website www.rissyroos.com

Rissy Roo’s is located in the Cornerstone Commerce Center, 1201 New Road in Linwood; 609-926-9200.
