“School House Rock, Live!”

The Belhaven Middle School Drama Club will present “School House Rock Live!” 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 and 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29 in the school auditorium. Tickets are $5. Call (609) 926-6700.

AAUW meeting

American Association of University Women, Atlantic County Branch, will meet Saturday, Feb. 11 at noon at the Linwood Library for lunch and a presentation by Dr. Lisa Cox of Stockton State College.  Dr. Cox will discuss a process of self-exploration entitled Guided Autobiography.  Guests and prospective members are welcome.  Call Diana at (609) 653-1426 for reservations.

Gala for Education

The Linwood Education Foundation will hold its Gala for Education 7:30-10:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at Atlantic City Country Club in Northfield. The event will honor Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson. Tickets are $100 and include dinner and dancing. There will be a silent auction. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Chili cook-off

The Knights of Columbus All Saints Council will hold its 10th annual John J. Heinz Memorial Chili Cook-off and Dinner 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Our Lady of Sorrows Church Annex, Wabash and Poplar avenues. The buffet will include salad, traditional and vegetarian chili, Spanish rice, chili dogs, Kansas City chili and dessert, and there will be live music. There is no entry fee for the contest; prizes will be given to the top three chefs. Tickets are $8 for adults, $3 for children and $18 for a family of four. Takeout is available. Share the Keys program

The South Jersey Traffic Safety Alliance will host New Jersey’s Share the Keys, Parent Teen Driver Safety Orientation Train-the-Trainer Program 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29 at the Vineland Training Academy. The research based program is designed to reduce teen car crashes by increasing parental knowledge and involvement.  The training is free.  Registration forms and links to pending legislation are available at www.sjtsa.org.

Mainland anniversary celebration

Green and White Night, Mainland Regional High School’s 50th anniversary celebration, will be 7 p.m.-midnight Saturday, March 17 in the Ocean Ballroom at Bally’s Atlantic City. Pet license renewal

Linwood dog and cat licenses must be renewed each year. Tags can be obtained at the city clerk’s office 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Proof of rabies shots must be provided. State law requires vaccination to be valid through October of the current year. Fees range from $6-$11. Call (609) 927-4108.
