SOMERS POINT--Friends of the Linwood Education Foundation won't need to head to Los Angeles Dolby Theater to catch the 86th annual Academy Awards. Clancy's on the Bay in Somers Point will be Hollywood East and the local venue for the Oscar viewing party of the area.

The event, complete with glam photo ops and a social media blitz give the full paparazzi experience to the Oscar night happening.  Guests will enter a side VIP door and be transported to the west coast where the Oscars, hosted by comedian and TV host Ellen DeGeneres will be shown on 12 giant plasma screens.

The Oscar night event is being staged by the South Jersey chapter of International Special Events Society, ISES, and all of the money raised will benefit the Linwood Education Foundation in recognition of their 2014 honoree, Jim Ziereis.

Ziereis is the former president of ISES and currently vice president of resort sales at Revel Entertainment.  Event organizer Kris Sumy said "This event provides an affordable way for every member of the community to contribute to enriching the lives of the children of Linwood schools while enjoying great food and entertainment."

Tickets for the Oscar night event are $20 and include a light buffet, door prizes and dinner and drink specials.  Photographer Shaun Reilly will photograph guests on the red carpet and Rock It Entertainment will keep everyone going with plenty of Hollywood pizzazz.

Red carpet will roll out at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 2 and the Oscar broadcast will begin at 7 p.m. Clancy's is located at 101 E. Maryland Ave. in Somers Point and tickets are available at the door.
