Letter: Mayor shows little for saving money Letter: Mayor shows little for saving money To the editor:

I'm upset at what transpired in Northfield’s recent City Council meetings.

Council discussed cutting the salaries of elected officials, a smart idea in these tough times. However, it is a shame when you see some officials ignore our taxpayers.

Mayor Mazzeo doesn't seem to care about finding savings for our citizens. He said, “I don't see where this has much meaning... you are talking $6,300 on a $12 million budget.”

Of course the mayor does not see the meaning of saving thousands of dollars. Democrats just don't care about saving money for Northfield taxpayers.

I'm also surprised that the mayor doesn't know the Northfield budget. He mentions a budget of $12 million, when the most recent budget is over $13 million.

But it shows a pattern. He doesn't see the meaning of saving thousands, so what's a million dollars in the budget?
With so little regard for thousands and millions, I'm afraid to see him as an assemblyman, where he can make billion-dollar mistakes.
