NORTHFIELD—Volunteers rolled up their sleeves Friday, Aug. 8 pitched in and made improvements to Veterans Park on Oak Avenue. Former City Councilman Dave Notaro brought in equipment from his hardscaping and construction business and with the help of another former City Councilman, Steve Vain and Korean War veteran, Bob Webb created a new space for residents and friends of the park to remember veterans and others with a commemorative brick.

Linwood Board of Education Business Administrator and Board Secretary Teri J. Weeks was recently elected and is now serving as First Vice President of the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials for the 2014-15 school year.
Weeks has served as the BA for the Linwood Board of Education since 1997.
During her tenure in Linwood the district began a successful shared services arrangement with Mainland Regional High School to manage financial constraints sharing the superintendent and the facilities manager.

David Cooper Little of Linwood has qualified for the School of Arts and Sciences Deans List at Rutgers University, New Brunswick where he just completed his sophomore year.
Little is majoring in political science. He is the son of Alisa Cooper and Doug Little.

Stockton student veterans honor Davis with April Kauffman award

April Kauffman April Kauffman The Richard Stockton College Student Veterans Organization has named Herb Davis as the recipient of its April Kauffman Veterans Advocacy Award.

Davis, a passionate Atlantic County veterans’  advocate and a member of the college’s Veterans Advisory Board, has been a role model and mentor for the student veterans enrolled at Richard Stockton College, according to SVO.
