OCEAN CITY – In memory of family matriarch Helen Reid, the mother-and-son team of Sharon and RJ Idell opened Sunrise Café on March 15, a year after Alzheimer’s claimed the life of the woman known as “Nana.”

OCEAN CITY – Although it wasn’t on the menu, the thought of better weather in days to come was the top draw for customers who flocked to the 2013 season opening of Kessel’s Korner on Thursday, March 14.

“This is the most important day of the year,” said Shannon Pruitt, a guidance counselor at Ocean City Intermediate School, on her way out the door after having dinner with her family. “It means summer is coming.”

OCEAN CITY — Four months after sustaining substantial damage from Hurricane Sandy, the Wawa in the 1200 block of West Avenue reopened as scheduled on Thursday, Feb. 28. The store features the chain’s newest design prototype, including a milkshake machine and a bread oven.

Mavromates team joins Keller Williams in Ocean City

OCEAN CITY — Keller Williams Realty Jersey Shore has announced the addition of three seasoned sales associates who previously worked together at Weichert Realtors in Turnersville. 

Michael Mavromates, a Wildwood Crest resident, was sales associate and regional training director at Weichert since 2003, and will lead the team of three in his new position. Joining Mavromates is his long time Weichert colleague Linda Carbone, a Sewell resident, who was a sales associate in the Turnersville office since 2000, and David Read from Wildwood Crest, who worked as a sales associate in Weichert’s Northfield office from 2007 to 2009 before joining Carbone and Mavromates in 2009 in Turnersville.
